The Design Phase

The design phase is a large and extremely important part of the creation of a web site. It is during this phase that initial contact with the customer is made, and at DMP Designs we take customer interaction very seriously. If the communication between the customer and ourselves isn't right, we cannot hope to come up with a website that the customer needs. We sit down face to face with the customer, wherever possible, to identify the following:

• Why the site is needed
• What the site is to be used for
• Who the site is intended for
• When the site is needed by

This isn't an exhaustive list, but we feel that these are some of the most important points to consider. Once the initial discussions are complete, our designers will come up with some sample designs.

The customer is encouraged to give as much feedback as possible for the sample designs to ensure we are on the right track. After a design has been chosen, any required modifications are made before presenting the customer with a final mock-up of the overall design. Once we get the final agreement, we can move on to the development stage.

Its also important to note that even once the design phase is complete, we understand that sometimes a design needs a few tweaks and changes throughout the development stage. These chages will always be implemented wherever they can, and as soon as they can.
